This slow cooker version does a good job of approximating real pulled pork from a smoker.
Pulled Pork
Ingredients
- 4-6 lb Pork Butt/Shoulder
- Salt & Pepper
- 1 medium onion small dice
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
- 5 cloves Garlic small dice
- 1 oz Liquid Smoke
Instructions
- Slow cook on low for 8-10 hours.
- Fork shred pork, discarding any fat/gristle. Transfer to a large baking dish.
- Skim fat off the liquid in the cooker, and pour 1-2 cups over meat.
- Broil on high for 5-15 minutes to create brown/burnt tips.
