Pulled Pork


This slow cooker version does a good job of approximating real pulled pork from a smoker.

Ingredients
  

  • 4-6 lb Pork Butt/Shoulder
  • Salt & Pepper
  • 1 medium onion small dice
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 5 cloves Garlic small dice
  • 1 oz Liquid Smoke

Instructions
 

  • Slow cook on low for 8-10 hours.
  • Fork shred pork, discarding any fat/gristle. Transfer to a large baking dish.
  • Skim fat off the liquid in the cooker, and pour 1-2 cups over meat.
  • Broil on high for 5-15 minutes to create brown/burnt tips.
