This combines Susan’s method for reheating canned green beans with some kick. A long hard boil is the secret to tender beans.
Spicy Green Beans With Ham
Ingredients
- 2 cans Cut Green Beans low sodium
- 32 oz chicken stock
- 1 can water
- 1 slice onion diced small
- 1-2 oz Ham chunks Add a pinch of sugar if not using glazed ham chunks
- 1/4 tsp Black Pepper fine grind
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp Salt Only if using low-sodium green beans
Instructions
- Bring to a boil over very high heat, remove cover and let nearly all the liquid boils out and beans are tender.
