This combines Susan’s method for reheating canned green beans with some kick. A long hard boil is the secret to tender beans.

Spicy Green Beans With Ham

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cans Cut Green Beans low sodium
  • 32 oz chicken stock
  • 1 can water
  • 1 slice onion diced small
  • 1-2 oz Ham chunks Add a pinch of sugar if not using glazed ham chunks
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper fine grind
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp Salt Only if using low-sodium green beans

Instructions
 

  • Bring to a boil over very high heat, remove cover and let nearly all the liquid boils out and beans are tender.
