A great southern treat.
Boiled Peanuts
Ingredients
- 1 lb Raw Peanuts
- 3 cloves Garlic
- 4 Jalapeños Large, sliced with seeds
- 1/2 cup Kosher Salt
- 3 tbsp Creole Seasoning
- 1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
- 2 quart Water More or less as needed to cover peanuts
- 1/2 tsp Red Pepper Cayenne, etc.
Instructions
Crock Pot
- Add peanuts, salt, red pepper to crock pot. Fill with water. Soak 12 hours.
- Add gartlic and jalapeños, and apple cider vinegar. Cook on low 8-12 hours
Storing
- Refrigerate for 7 days, or freeze with cooking liquid for 3 months.
Notes
Green peanuts are fresh from the field have not been dried. They will cook much faster. This recipe is for dried, uncooked peanuts.
