Chicken Wings
Easy convection oven method
Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken wings
- salt
- pepper
For serving
- Wings Sauce
- Ranch or Blue Cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300. Regular mode, not convection.
- Cut wings into dummette and wing. I leave the tips on, but you can cut them off too.
- Arrange pieces on a baking rack Inside a foil covered baking sheet.
- Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
- Adjust oven to 450 convection.
- Bake 15 minutes. Turn the pieces over then bake for 15 more minutes.
- Rest for 10 minutes.
Notes
The naked (no sauce) wings this recipe makes are excellent on their own, but also allows each person to sauce for themselves with whatever flavor(s) they choose.
Tater Tots make a great side for wings. Add them when the oven hits 450 in convection mode. When the chicken is resting, turn the oven off, crack the door, and let the Tots remain warm until time to serve.
