Individual nacho trays with seasoned ground beef, salsa, and all the usual toppings.

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 (175°C).
  2. Mix 1 Tbsp of taco seasoning with ground beef and brown it in a skillet over medium heat. Drain fat.
  3. Lay out all ingredients buffet style and give each person an aluminum pie tin. Encourage guests to build their own nachos starting with a layer of whole chips (skip the broken ones, they won't hold up under the toppings), then a layer of meat, and a layer of cheese. Add tomatoes & jalapeños as desired.
  4. Place pie tins in the oven for 6 minutes. Add "cool" ingredients.
  5. Remove from oven and allow tins to cool to the touch (1-2 minutes).
  6. Add lettuce, sour cream, cilantro, avocado and other toppings as desired.

Notes

Also need 6 aluminum pie tins. Sorting out whole chips can cost a quarter to a third of a bag, so buy an extra bag to be sure of having enough.
