Instructions

  1. Make homemade sauce. (see notes)
  2. Preheat oven to 350 (175°C).
  3. Cook Ziti according to package, stop short of al-dente. About 2 minutes before the shortest cooking time on the package.
  4. Drain ziti in a colander and rinse with cold water to stop cooking. Stir gently while rinsing.
  5. Spread a thin layer of sauce on the bottom of a greased 9x13 baking dish.
  6. Make one layer of pasta & cheese, then another layer of sauce, pasta and cheese, then another layer of sauce. Top with remaining cheese.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees (175°C)for 30 minutes, or until heated through and cheese on top bubbles and browns.
